ST. ALBANS — On Saturday, October 26th, Riley Maher of BFA St. Albans crossed the finish line in 6th place at the Vermont Cross Country State Championships in Thetford.
SWANTON — Ruthie Brueckner will represent MVU at New Englands on Saturday, November 9th, after earning a fifth-place finish in Division II at the Vermont State Cross Country Championships this year.
ST. ALBANS — Messenger Athlete of the Week, BFA St. Albans’ Dominic Liscinsky, has put up some strong numbers this season, right down to the final regular-season game against the undefeated Middlebury Tigers football team.
SWANTON— On Friday, October 18th, the MVU field hockey team traveled to St. Johnsbury to take on the Hilltoppers in the final regular-season game of the 2019 season.
ENOSBURG — Ethan Williams made Ensoburg volleyball history last week tallying up an impressive 134 kills in his senior season on the court, the largest number in team and school history. Emilee Bose set the girls record in 2015 with 125 kills.
SWANTON — For the first time in three years, the MVU girls’ varsity soccer team has been winning, and goalkeeper Madison Conley has had a lot to do with the team’s success.
SWANTON —Julia Horton, a senior at MVU, has been with the varsity girls soccer team through thick and thin. Her dedication to the team and her performance on the field are truly inspirational.
ENOSBURG — Erin Diette caught the eye of the Messenger Sports staff after an outstanding performance at Jay Peak on Saturday, September 7th. Diette scored four goals against the hosting Richford Rockets during that game.
FAIRFAX —Isaac Decker, a junior at BFA Fairfax, was named Athlete of the Week by the Messenger Sports staff for his outstanding performance in last Friday's game against Enosburg.
