SWANTON — Ruthie Brueckner will represent MVU at New Englands on Saturday, November 9th, after earning a fifth-place finish in Division II at the Vermont State Cross Country Championships this year.

FAIRFAX — The BFA Fairfax girls varsity soccer team faced White River Valley on Wednesday, October 23rd, in the first round of playoffs, earning a 4-1 victory.

SWANTON — Thunderbird, Kyle Gilbert, played an integral role in the MVU varsity soccer team’s victory over Hartford on Tuesday, October 22nd.

ST. ALBANS — Messenger Athlete of the Week, BFA St. Albans’ Dominic Liscinsky, has put up some strong numbers this season, right down to the final regular-season game against the undefeated Middlebury Tigers football team.

SWANTON— On Friday, October 18th, the MVU field hockey team traveled to St. Johnsbury to take on the Hilltoppers in the final regular-season game of the 2019 season.

FAIRFAX — The role of a defensive player is often hard to measure in terms of statistics, but a great defensive player can have a profound impact on a game.

ENOSBURG — Ethan Williams made Ensoburg volleyball history last week tallying up an impressive 134 kills in his senior season on the court, the largest number in team and school history. Emilee Bose set the girls record in 2015 with 125 kills.


ST. ALBANS — Caden Hart, BFA St. Albans’ varsity soccer goalie, is hard to miss on the field in his trademark bright red shirt and shorts.


SWANTON — For the first time in three years, the MVU girls’ varsity soccer team has been winning, and goalkeeper Madison Conley has had a lot to do with the team’s success.

FAIRFAX — Noah Brock of BFA Fairfax has had an outstanding season on both sides of the field for the Bullets football team.

SWANTON —Julia Horton, a senior at MVU, has been with the varsity girls soccer team through thick and thin. Her dedication to the team and her performance on the field are truly inspirational.

ST. ALBANS—Kam Dunsmore of BFA St. Albans has earned the distinction of being one of the best soccer players in the state of Vermont.

ST. ALBANS — Tara Ditch, a runner on the BFA St. Albans 'cross country team, was selected as this week's Messenger Sports choice for Athlete of the Week.

ENOSBURG — Levi Webb of Enosburg caught the attention of the Messenger Sports staff for his outstanding performance in two games last week.

ENOSBURG — Erin Diette caught the eye of the Messenger Sports staff after an outstanding performance at Jay Peak on Saturday, September 7th. Diette scored four goals against the hosting Richford Rockets during that game.

FAIRFAX —Isaac Decker, a junior at BFA Fairfax, was named Athlete of the Week by the Messenger Sports staff for his outstanding performance in last Friday's game against Enosburg.
