FRANKLIN – Raymond C. Jette, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in Enosburgh.
He was born in St. Albans on January 12, 1956 to the late Laurent & Gilberte Jette.
Raymond was raised on the family farm in Sheldon and never lost those roots. After graduating from BFA St. Albans, he had his children in Florida before returning to Sheldon two years later. He found peace in the outdoors, farming, logging, beekeeping and raising pigs. If you found him at his house, you could always park the car in the road and shoot the breeze. Everyone knew Raymond, the mechanic, could fix anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will forever be remembered for having the biggest heart and always putting others first.
He is survived by his children, Jeremy Jette and Kim Jette; grandchildren, Evan and Luke Masseth; brothers, John Jette and his wife, Catherine, Marc Jette, and his wife, Winona, Robert Jette and his wife, Lucie, Rene Jette and his wife, Lee Ann and Andrew Jette; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Catherine Jette.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 3 – 6 p.m. at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
A funeral service will also be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Spears Funeral Home.
For those who wish to honor Raymond, the family requests that you buy a pig, raise it and donate it to Martha’s Kitchen, 139 Lake Street, St. Albans, VT 05478.
