FRANKLIN COUNTY — Hannaford Supermarkets is pleased to announce the return of its Hannaford Helps Schools program for its 20th season. Now through November 30, shoppers can help local schools meet fundraising goals by purchasing specially marked items in Hannaford stores.
“Educators in our local schools are already going above and beyond, and we’re proud that Hannaford Helps Schools can provide those educators additional support in expanding the opportunities available to students,” said Ericka Dodge, spokesperson for Hannaford.
Each store features more than 1,500 eligible products on its shelves. For every four participating products purchased, a shopper will receive three “School Dollars” that they can then donate in-store to the school of their choice. Local schools that are participating include Alburgh Community Education Center, Avalon Triumvirate Academy, Bakersfield Elementary School, Berkshire Elementary School, BFA St. Albans, Enosburg Elementary and Middle Schools, Enosburg Falls High School, Fairfield Primary and Center Schools, Fletcher Elementary, Franklin Central School, Georgia Elementary and Middle School, Highgate Elementary School, Missisquoi Valley Union, Montgomery Elementary School, Richford Elementary School, Richford Middle and High School, Sheldon Elementary School, Soar Learning Center, St. Albans City School, St. Albans Town Education Center, and Swanton Central School.
Additionally, Hannaford will award $1,000 to the school that raises the most funds in each community.
