ST. ALBANS- This year the St. Albans Recreation Day Camp is seeing it’s most participants ever.

The camp, which runs through the end of August, gives campers the chance at experiencing a wide range of activities, from nature related lessons, water fun, games, field trips to Burlington, sports, arts and crafts.

Many campers attend the whole summer, experiencing a different theme each week. So far the group ended June with festival week before kicking off July with counselors vs. campers week, where the campers faced off against some of their favorite staff members.

Each day begins at the Barlow Street Community Center at 7:30 a.m. The group first breaks a sweat with a half hour of fitness activities. From there the camp transitions into the activities planned for the week. After lunch, the day ends with a couple hours spent at St. Albans City Pool before pickup at 4:30 p.m.

According to camp director, Chris Messier, the camp is mostly full at this time. Messier does say there are a few spots still open. Availability can be checked at
