Notice is hereby given to the residents of the municipality of Fletcher, Vermont that the Fletcher Planning Commission will hold a hearing on Tuesday, October 6th, at 7:00 PM at Fletcher Municipal Building to consider adoption of the Fletcher Municipal Plan pursuant to Chapter 117 of Title 24, §4387 and §4384 Vermont Statutes Annotated. Residents can also participate in the hearing online at (https://tinyurl.com/fletcherpcmeeting) or by phone (646-558-8658).

This Plan adoption takes into consideration the following changes to the Town Plan: consolidation of duplicate goals and policies, an update of demographic information, an update of all maps, the addition of language pertaining to the forest integrity and the flood resiliency goals and elements required by state statue, and the incorporation of an enhanced energy plan in conformance with the requirements of 24 V.S.A. §4352. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on the adoption of the updated plan and to discuss any comments provided by the public.

The Fletcher Municipal Plan includes 9 chapters and 3 appendices: Chapter 1. The Planning Process, Chapter 2. Community Profile, Chapter 3. Natural and Cultural Resources, Chapter 4. Housing, Chapter 5 Economic Development, Chapter 6. Transportation, Chapter 7. Energy, Chapter 8. Facilities and Services, Chapter 9. Land Use, Appendix A. Historic and Cultural Resources, Appendix B. Geology and Earth Resources, and Appendix C. Work Program. Full text of the plan is on file in the Fletcher Town Clerk's Office. This plan is intended to be consistent with the goals established in Title 24, §4302 and §4382.
