GEORGIA — William Ernest Lunn Sr., 63, of Georgia, Vt, went on to the next journey of his life on Aug. 9, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Bill was born Oct. 20, 1951, the son of Ernest Clare Lunn and Beulah Pearl Bishop Lunn. He grew up in South Burlington, and graduated from South Burlington High School in 1969.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Lunn of 23 years; his daughter, Annie Lunn and her husband, Odysseus Manzi; his granddaughter, Maya; his daughter, Amber Granger-Blake and her husband, Jared Blake; and his son William Lunn II. He also leaves his brother, Michael Lunn and his wife, Linda, and their two children, Michael Lunn II and Carissa Lunn. He was predeceased by his father, mother, and brother James Lunn.
Bill worked at IBM, retiring after 24 years and moved on to Mylan Pharmaceuticals where he worked for another 20 years. “Captain Bill” loved fishing, especially with his best friend Robert Brassard, aka “Bassin Bob”. Bill had a wonderful passion for life and loved his family, friends, and his dog Scout very much. Scout will miss Bill and all the deer rides they shared together. Bill’s ambition was to build his dream house in Henderson, N.Y. on the property where he and his family shared many wonderful memories. Bill touched the hearts of so many people and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know this great man.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Aug. 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Methodist Church in St. Albans. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Make-A-Wish Foundation in honor of William E Lunn Sr. at 100 Dorset St. # 14, So. Burlington, VT 05403.
