SWANTON —W. Joan Sintz passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at the University of Vermont Medical Center with her family at her side.
Born in Colchester, on Nov. 19, 1952, she was the daughter of Harley K. and Rita L. (Wentworth) Fisher. Joan was 62 years old. Joan enjoyed crocheting and was a big fan of Facebook.
Survivors include her sons, Robert L. Smith, Jr., of Kansas City, Kan., Shane L. Smith Sr. and his wife, Becki, of Carthage, N.Y., and David Martell, Jr. and his wife, Crystal, of Fredericksburg, Va.; her grandchildren, Brett Vincelette, Elise Smith, Kyla Smith, Brianna Smith, Shane Smith, Jr., Avery Smith and Erin Stearns, as well as her longtime companion, Sean M. Sintz, of Swanton; her brother, Bert Bushey and her canine companion, ‘Harley’.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans with the Reverend Charles M. Purinton, Jr. officiating.
