ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Virginia A. “Gini” Young, age 71, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Vermont Respite House, from complications of Diabetes.  She was born in Fairfield, June 7, 1943, daughter of the late Louis and Martha (Teague) Pafundi.  Gini graduated from St. Mary’s High School.  In 1977, she married Maurice Young, who predeceased her in 1995.  She worked as a type-setter for the St. Albans Messenger, a dispatcher for Beacon Feeds, later Cargill in Swanton.  She also worked for Life Line, delivered mail in East Fairfield, and delivered meals to the Senior Citizens of our community.  She was a member of the American Red Cross, working at blood drives, the Franklin County and Hi Swans Senior Centers, and was a communicant of Holy Angels Church.  Gini was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society.

Gini is survived by her sisters Lois Cline and her husband, Daniel H., of Grand Isle, Dale Brown and her husband, Greg, of Fairfield, her companion, Jacques Rainville, of St. Albans, nieces and nephews Heather, Daniel D. and Louis, and great-nephews Louis D, and Carson, her step-daughters Tammy Bockus of Highgate, Cindy Taylor of Swanton, Tina Jones and Lori Vanslette both of St. Albans, 13 step-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-grandchildren.  Gini also leaves a special feline companion Mr. Kitty.  She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and a special canine sheltie friend Charlie Brown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Church.  Interment will follow in the Pafundi family lot in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  The family will receive condolences in the Brady and Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the Mass.  Memorials in her memory may be made to the American Red Cross, 32 North Prospect Street, Burlington, VT 05401 or the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.  Online condolences may be sent to her family at the funeral home website: www.bradyandlevesque.com.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home and Commemorative Services.
