COLCHESTER — Timothy J. Hoague, 62, of Colchester, Vt. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital (St. Joseph, Mo.). Tim was born in Swanton on Feb. 7, 1955, the son of Hector and Noella (Wells) Hoague who predeceased him.
After graduating from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in 1973, Tim joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Naval ship mechanic. After discharge, he took on a new career with IBM of Essex for 28 years, then moving on to Food Science Corporation until his retirement in 2015. Timothy is survived by one son, Derek Hoague, of Austin, Texas and his mother Terri Sabens of Milton, one daughter, Megan Hoague, and her mother Tammy Goodreau of Colchester, two sisters, Linda Owens who was very special to Tim of Graham, Mo., Elaine (Jim) Ringler of Ridgedale, Mo., three brothers, Larry, Lynford (Dore), and John (Kelly) Hoague all of Vermont; a very special niece, Sharri (Bret) Wallace of Maryville, Mo., many nieces and nephews, extended family and many life-long friends. Tim was also predeceased by his brothers, Ronald, Wilson, and Clarence Hoague, brother-in-law, Russell Owens, and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Hoague.
There will be a memorial service held at noon on July 1, 2017 at the Highgate Municipal Memorial Park with a celebration of Tim’s life to follow. In lieu of flowers, please spend time with your family, friends and loved ones, create memories and take pictures and consider volunteering your time to those in need.
