ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Therese Paquette, age 94, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 8, 2015 at her home.  She was born in Fairfield on April 23, 1921 daughter of the late Treffle and Mathilda (Juaire) Morin.  She was employed at the Union Carbide Corporation and later as a cook at the Hotel Kelley.  She was a communicant of Holy Angels Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.

Therese married Francis N. Paquette Aug. 25, 1942 in Fairfield.  Francis died Nov. 5, 1999.

Her survivors include her three children, Mary Jane and her husband Philip Chaplin of Victor, Mont. and their children, Karen, Michael, Patrick and their families, Anna and her husband, Deacon Gabriel Gagne, their children Dr. Havaleh, Justin, Rachael and Marie, and Cecile Paquette, both of St. Albans.  She also leaves 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two children, John and Alice Paquette, a grandson John Chaplin a brother and four sisters.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Therese’s caregivers over the past five years, Monique, Joan, Bridget, Barb and especially MJ Columb – our Special Angel.

As a tribute to our mother who died on the first day of the Year of Mercy, please do something merciful for someone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow in the Paquette family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.  The family will receive condolences in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., St. Albans on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home and Commemorative Services.
