Robinson Iron of Alabama began reassembling the Taylor Park fountain this morning. Above workers atop the fountain await the water nymph, which is having its plumbing attached. Peter Garceau of Cross Consulting Engineers converses with those installing the plumbing connections. The fountain has been at the company’s Alabama workshop for the past year where workers restored the iron bowls and columns at the center of the fountain, and recast the water nymph from the top, cherubs from the center and maidens from the base in aluminum using the original molds. Here, the base column is unloaded for installation first.
