ST. ALBANS — Teresa Kathleen Gaynor, a lifelong resident of St. Albans, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2014, at the Franklin County Rehab Center.

Born in St. Albans on July 22, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George P. and Rose (McDonnell) Gaynor. Teresa was 87 years old.

Teresa was educated in St. Albans and then went on to work for the General Electric Company in Burlington retiring in 1971. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Franklin County Senior Center, was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and an original member of the Franklin County United Way.

She is survived by several close friends, Cindy and Gary Rutkowski, of St. Albans, Blanche and Roger Columbe, of Essex, Margaret Lareau, of St. Albans, and family in Ireland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Fairfield St., St. Albans with the Reverend Brian J. O’Donnell as celebrant. Interment will take place later this spring at the family lot in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fairfield.
