ST. ALBANS — Sydney S. Cook, 67, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at the Northwestern Medical Center with the family at her side.

Born on Feb. 14, 1946, in Hartford, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ernestine (Daniels) Starbuck.  On June 25, 1977, she married Edgar T. Cook, who survives her.

For several years Sydney worked in Information Technology for the Hartford Insurance Company. She was proud of her donations to “Lock of Love” and Laurie’s House.  She enjoyed her collection of miniatures, which she assembled herself.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Edgar, of St. Albans; her children, Kathryne Davison and her children, Justin, Ryan and Jaclyne of Pottstown, Pa., and Jason Hein and his daughters, Aurelie and Rebecca of Silver Springs, Md.; her siblings, Brenda Rosecrans of Virginia and Steve Starbuck of Georgia and many nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank the Franklin County Home Health for the care and support given to Sydney and her family during her illness.

A celebration of Sydney’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at 4 p.m. in the Community Room at 251 Lake Street, St. Albans. Pastor Bruce Patterson will officiate.  Her family will then receive friends following the celebration.
