MILTON — Susan M. Manchester passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at the U.V.M. Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Oct. 12, 1949, she was the loving daughter of Joyce (Stockinger) Manchester and the late Wallace H. “Wally” Manchester. Sue was 66 years old.
Sue was a 1968 graduate of Bellows Free Academy and was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where she taught second grade in the Sunday School program.
Survivors include her mother, Joyce of St. Albans; her devoted partner of 22 years, David LaPorte of Milton; her children, Tom and Destiny Cadieux of St. Albans, Christine and Sean Cassidy of Higganum, Conn., Ruth and Paul Schumacher of Seaford, N.Y., and David’s daughters, Hillary and Jeremy Cairns of Philadelphia, Pa. and Vera and Gabby LaPorte of Las Vegas, Nev. Sue is also survived by her grandchildren, Kenadee, AJ, Dalani, Grace, Anna, Kellen, Emerson and Gavin as well as her sister, Carol and Neil Berthiaume of Fairfax, sister-in-law, Sandra Manchester of Wisconsin and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Wally and her brother, Wallace “Chet” Manchester, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 11 Church Street, St. Albans.
