Squires - Longley

Syracuse, N.Y.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Jessica A. Squires, daughter of Roger & Teresa Squires of Syracuse, N.Y., and Matthew L. Longley, son of Wayne Longley of Richford, and Roseann Longley of Enosburg Falls, were united in marriage on July 30, 2011.

A double ring ceremony was performed by Father Jon Werner, at St. John the Baptist Church in Syracuse, N.Y.

The Matron of Honor was Maggie Smith, aunt of the bride. The Maid of Honor was Jennifer Cook, best friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Hardenburgh, cousin of the bride; Kristen Longley, close friend of the bride and groom; Erin Rowe and AnneMarie Bryce, sisters of the groom. Kylie Bryce, niece of the groom, was Junior Bridesmaid. Olivia Cook and Kaitlyn Smith were the flower girls.

The Best Man was Shaun Couture, best friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Chris Squires, brother of the bride; Wayne Carpenter, close friend of the groom; Brad Sylvester, cousin of the groom; Leo Sylvester, uncle of the groom; and Robbie Keefe, close friend of the groom and “brother” of the bride. Ryan Bryce, nephew of the groom, was the Junior Groomsman. Logan Longley, godson to the bride and groom, was the ring bearer.

Jessica wore a soft ivory lace gown with a sweetheart neckline, and a custom made veil by “My Fairy Dress Mother,” Nancy. The flowers were lilies, roses and carnations. The reception was held at Tradition’s, at the Links in East Syracuse, N.Y.

Mrs. Longley is a 2001 graduate from Henninger High School in Syracuse, N.Y. She is currently enrolled at CCV for a degree in Nursing. She is employed at Northwestern Medical Center.

Her husband is a 1995 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School, and is employed at Mylan Technologies.

The couple took a mini-honeymoon trip to Martha’s Vineyard and Cape Cod, and will take a honeymoon trip in 2012.

The bride and groom have built their home in Enosburg Falls.

Maley - Marlow

St. Albans

ST. ALBANS - Mr. & Mrs. Joe & Linda Maley, of St. Albans, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nellie Finnegan Maley, to Benjamin Joseph Marlow, son of Mr. & Mrs. Dan & Linda Marlow.

Miss Nellie Maley is a graduate of Clark University, and is presently employed at Lawrence High School, in Massachusetts.

Mr. Ben Marlow is a graduate of St. Michael’s College, and is presently employed at Lawrence High School.

The couple currently resides in Somerville, Mass.

A July 14, 2012, wedding is planned.

GEORGIA - Randy & Maggie Cadieux of Georgia are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Cadieux, to Ryan Nolin, son of Dan & Julie Nolin of Georgia.

Jessica is a graduate of UVM, and is employed at Fletcher Allen Healthcare.

Ryan is a graduate of VTC, and is employed at Mansfield Heliflight.

Meade 60th Anniversary

Charles and Mary Meade celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 26, 2011. Joining them for dinner were their children: Julia, James, Janet, and Bruce Norcross; and granddaughter, Valerie Norcross. The couple also has a grandson, Paul Norcross, presently serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Charles and Mary were married Nov. 26, 1951, at the Catholic Chapel at Hunter Air Force Base, Savannah, Ga.

Kandi Ann is a graduate of Castleton State College. She is presently employed as Case Manager and Peer Outreach Worker with the Community Health Services of Lamoille Valley.

David is a graduate of St. Michael’s College. He is presently employed as a Kindergarten Teacher and Assistant Principal at the Bakersfield Elementary School.

A winter wedding is planned.

Quigley-Kane

Nora Quigley, daughter of Douglas & Sandra Quigley of Sturbridge, Mass., and Roscoe Kane, son of Scott & Diane Kane, of Enosburgh, were married on Sept. 4, 2011, in an outdoor ceremony, under a birch tree arch, at the home of the groom’s parents.

The Maids of Honor were Kathryn Dykas, family friend of the bride; and Megan Quigley, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Megan Denardo, college roommate of the bride; and Laura Dykas, family friend of the bride.

The Best Man was Arland Kane, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were John Barton, college roommate of the groom; and Nathaniel Soule, high school friend of the groom.

Carol Livingston, Justice of the Peace, officiated at the wedding. Photographer was Les Gardner, of Sturbridge, Mass.

The reception was held at The Abbey Restaurant in Sheldon.

The couple honeymooned in North Port, Fla. They reside in Essex Junction, Vt.

The groom graduated from Vermont Technical College (Class of 2009), and is employed by IBM in Essex Junction.

The bride graduated from St. Michael’s College (Class of 2009), and the University of Rhode Island (Class of 2011). She is employed by JPMorgan, in South Burlington.

Deslandes - Reichardt

Isle La Motte

ISLE LA MOTTE - Maria Ashley Deslandes, daughter of Pierre & Claudine Deslandes of Swanton, and Christian Reichardt, son of Hilmar & Sabine Reichardt, of Göttingen, Germany, were united in marriage on Sept. 17, 2011.

Father Marcel Rainville officiated the ceremony at St. Anne’s Shrine in Isle La Motte. The reception followed the ceremony at the Links on the Lake Restaurant, located at the Alburgh Country Club. The photography was done by Renée Aubé of Great Impressions Portrait Studio. The cake was made by Jean Rainville, aunt of the bride. The music was provided by Bob Wagner.

Brigitte Alexy, best friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Natalie Ivanic, sister of the bride and Stephanie Case Bohannon, good family friend of the bride.

Benjamin Reichardt, brother of the groom, was the best man. The groomsmen were Klaus Fries and Michael Hilbert, good friends of the groom. The ushers were Eric Rainville, Joshua Doe, and Peter Pollander, cousins of the bride.

The bride graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in 2001, and received her Bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University in 2005. She is finishing up her PhD at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

The groom graduated from Theodor Heuss Gymnasium in Göttingen, Germany, and received his PhD from the University of Göttingen. He is employed at the Max-Planck Institute for biophysical chemistry in Göttingen as a postdoctoral researcher.

The couple will make their home in Göttingen, Germany.

Bourbeau - Goodrich

Enosburg Falls

ENOSBURG FALLS - Joanna Bourbeau, daughter of Paul & Bonnie Bourbeau of St. Albans, and Tyler Goodrich, son of David & Debra Goodrich of Berkshire, were united in marriage on Aug. 20, 2011.

The ceremony was officiated by Father Daniel Jordan at St. John the Baptist, in Enosburg Falls.

The flower girl was Mckenzie Goodrich, daughter of the groom. Maid of Honor was Jessica Bourbeau, sister of the bride. Best Man was Brian Hatch, friend of the groom.

A reception took place at The Crossing, in Richford.

The bride is a graduate of BFA-St. Albans. The groom is a graduate of Richford High School.

The newlyweds have made their home in Berkshire.

Gardner-Rocheleau

William & Patricia Gardner, of Charlotte, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kate A. Gardner, to Christopher J. Rocheleau, son of Karl & Cheryl Rocheleau, of St. Albans.

Kate is a 2002 graduate of Champlain Valley Union High School, and is a 2007 graduate of McGill University.

Christopher graduated from Bellows Free Academy-St. Albans in 2007, and is a 2006 graduate of Clarkson University.

They met at Husky I.M.S., where Kate is a production designer, and Christopher is a project engineer.

A Sept. 22nd wedding is planned.

Kraft - Horan

James Francis Horan, the son of Frank & Bess Horan, of St. Albans, and Tara Maria Kraft, the daughter of Margaret Kraft of Nyack, N.Y., were married on Saturday, Nov. 12, in Camden, Maine.

The ceremony was led by Father Albert T. Maroun, the uncle of the groom, and notarized by Maine officiate Linda Vaughn, at the Camden Harbour Inn. A celebration immediately followed at the inn's restaurant, Natalie's.

The bride wore a Monique Lhuillier soft ivory, fitted lace gown with an ivory, lace-trimmed, mantilla veil. The groom wore a dark navy John Varvatos tuxedo.

The bride's matron of honor was Lia Sambrotto Pepper, her longtime friend. The best man was Brian Thomas Horan, brother of groom.

The evening before the nuptials the groom's parents hosted a festive dinner at The Cellardoor Winery in Lincolnville, Maine, for all wedding guests. A trolley shuttled attendees to and from the vineyard throughout the night. All guests of this intimate wedding stayed together at the inn for the entire celebratory weekend, which concluded on Sunday with a farewell champagne brunch.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at Las Ventanas al Paraiso, in Los Cabos, Mexico. They reside in New York City.

The bride graduated first from Nyack High School, then Siena College in 1997 with cum laude honors. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Shape magazine.

The groom graduated first from Bellows Free Academy, then The University of Vermont in 1992. He is currently the Vice President of Communications and Player Relations for the National Hockey League.
