ST. ALBANS — It’s beginning to feel a lot like – spring. Or maybe early fall.

While that warm weather may be great for reducing heating bills, it hasn’t been so terrific for getting people in the mood to holiday shop, some store owners have found.

The lack of snow means customers aren’t heading into Kevin Smith’s Sporting Goods as often for skiing and ski-boarding gear the way they normally would at this time, according to store manager Tyler Pearl. “They don’t think about it unless it’s happening outside their door,” he said.
