ST. ALBANS — Mr. Samuel F. Soule, age 70, died Saturday morning, Oct. 19, 2013 at the Franklin County Rehab Center. He was born Sept. 26, 1943, in St. Albans, son of the late Max and Louella (Boucher) Soule. Sam graduated from Brigham Academy in 1961. He served his country in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam War. He returned to Vermont and worked as an inspector for the General Electric Corporation, retiring in 1998 after 31 years. Feb. 6, 1993, he married Melody Clark. Sam was a member of the American Legion Post #1. He was an avid New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan, and loved fishing and hunting.
Sam is survived by his wife, Melody Soule, of St. Albans, his son, Todd Soule, and his friend Allison MacKenzie of St. Albans, his daughters Paula Cary and her husband, Ander, of Milton, and Roxanne Rousseau of Erie, Pa., his grandchildren Jessica Rousseau, Corey Soule, Tamara and Nathan Cary, his brother Donald Kittell and his wife, Eleanor, of East Fairfield, and his sister Martha Cameron of Belvedere, special friends Jerry Raymond, Clyde Bovat, Gerald Bovat and Red Truax. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Ronald Kettell.
A Celebration of his life will be held Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at the American Legion Post #1, Parah Drive, beginning at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Brady and Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
