ALBURGH — Robert “Boogs” Bohannon, 60, has gone to the Emerald City with the blessing of God.  Born on Nov. 2,1954, he died unexpectedly on July 26th with many cherished memories taken with him and left behind.

Born in St. Albans, he was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Gilbert Bohannon and Virginia Agnes Bohannon.  He was raised in Alburgh, where he became a man of many skills.  Woodworking was his passion, being outside with friends and family was his love, and his children and grandchildren were his world; his amazing son, Thomas Gilbert Bohannon and his girlfriend, Samantha Brace and children; his adoring daughter, Amber Rae (Bohannon) Wright and her three beautiful girls, Hannah, Emma and Rorie.

Robert was also survived by siblings that will continue the Bohannon tradition of the big family dinners, front yard parties and unwavering support to each other. Gilbert Bohannon and his wife Cathy Bohannon, David Bohannon and his wife Mary Ann Martell-Bohannon, Beatrice Rourke and her husband Jason Rourke, Donna Bohannon-Larose and her husband Codie Larose, along with many uniquely special nieces and nephews.

He had friends across the land that shared in his life and contributed to who he was as a man and Father.  Every day that was spent with him produced personal memories.  Come share them with us on Saturday.  Shoes are optional.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton. Longtime family friend, The Reverend Mr. Duane Langlois will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the hour of the funeral.
