SWANTON — Mr. Rene G. Pelissier, age 65, passed away Tuesday morning, April 5, 2016, at his home. He was born in Kingsey Falls, Quebec, May 16, 1950, son of the late Laurent and Theresa (Boulet) Pelissier. Rene worked for Engelberth Construction as a carpenter and then owned and operated Rene Pelissier General Contracting for many years.

Rene is survived by his son, Anthony Pelissier and his wife, Michelle, of Kannapolis, N.C.; his grandson, Alexander Pelissier, his sisters Jocelyne Teague, of St. Albans, Diane Williams and her husband, Robert, of Macedonia, Ohio, and Louise Luneau of St. Albans; his brother, Pierre (Pete) Pelissier and his wife, Dorcus, of Swanton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Rene was predeceased by his sisters, Nicole and Suzanne Pelissier and his brothers, Phillip, Yvon, and Denis Pelissier.

Rene wished to extend a special thanks to his girlfriend and caregiver, Tina Sweet.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11 a.m., in the Georgia Plain Baptist Church, with Pastor Tyler Smith officiating. Interment will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 (Rene’s birthday), at 10 a.m., in the Pelissier family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
