ST. ALBANS  — Miss Regina J. Cochran, age 87, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at the St. Albans Health and Rehab Center. She was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Northumberland, N.H., daughter of the late Clyde C. and Ruth J. (Churchill) Cochran.

Regina worked for many years at the Baird Center in Hillside Rochester, N.Y., in special education, caring for emotionally challenged and neglected children. When she moved to Vermont, she worked as a housekeeper for the Sheraton Hotel in South Burlington. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, the New England Child Care Association, and the Northwestern Medical Center Auxiliary.

Regina is survived by her sisters, Adlee Greenough of Cape Coral, Fla., Carolyn Sanders of Morrisville, and Marlene McLeod of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, to include special nieces, Brenda Sprano and Donata Bessette, and a special great-niece, Kristi Bessette, who was always by her aunt Regina’s side through this final journey. Regina also leaves special friends, Doris Newton of St. Albans, William Gonyeau of Sheldon, and Shirley and her favorite nurses at St. Albans Rehab. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Calvin and Wilton Cochran, and a sister, Modena Smith.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, Feb. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Brady and Levesque Funeral Chapel, 86 South Main St. A funeral service will be held later this spring in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
