NEWPORT — Priscilla Ann (LaBounty) Jensen, 73, of Barton, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Newport. She was born in Barton on April 25, 1943 to Bruno and Annette (Sheltra) LaBounty who both predeceased her.
On July 21, 1962 she married Richard “Nicky” Jensen at St. Paul’s Church in Barton who survives her. She attended St. Paul’s grade school and graduated from Barton Academy in 1961.
Besides her husband Richard, she is survived by two children, Richard “Ricky” Jensen, Jr, his wife, Marianne, and their two children: Matthew and Katie and one granddaughter, Zoey all of Highgate, Cathy and her husband, Michael “Mike” Vallieres, and their children, Rick and Jenna Trexel and their daughters Avery and Emryn all of Fort Mill, S.C., Justin Vallieres and his children, Xavier and Amaya Vallieres of Lawrenceville, Ga.
She leaves behind six brothers and sisters: Bruno “Sonny” LaBounty of Orleans, Theresa Norris of Barton, and her companion, Albert Young, of Lyndonville, Rachel Frengs and her husband, Frederick, of Sheffield, Mass., Debra Farrar and her husband, Jim, of Barton, Dennis LaBounty and his wife, Diane, of Lyndonville, and Paul LaBounty and his wife, Kimberly, of Barton, and many nieces, nephews, as well as all her friends in Beans Mobile Park in Barton.
She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Leona (Alger) LaBounty, brother-in-law Earl Norris and sister Patricia and brother Robert who both died in infancy.
The family would like to extend their most humble gratitude to the doctors, nurses, home healthcare workers at North Country Hospital.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Barton on Monday Aug. 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Timothy Naples celebrating a mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Theresa’s Cemetery, Orleans.
