ALBURGH/SWANTON — On Saturday, August 30, 2014, Ryleigh Poissant and Jonathan LaShure were united in marriage, at The Church of the Nativity, in Swanton. Ryleigh is the daughter of Tony and Valerie Poissant, of Alburgh, and Jonathan is the son of Gary and Linda LaShure, of Swanton.
The ceremony was officiated by Father Dallas St. Peter, and Deacon Duane Langlois, and the reception was held at the Franklin County Field Days barn, in Highgate. The Maid of Honor was Miranda Machia, friend of the bride, and the Best Man was Andrew Richard, friend of the groom. Bridesmaids were Hannah Scott, Riley Fontaine, Ashton Banyea, Calli Andersen, and Ashley Arel, all friends of the bride, along with Christine Parnell, sister of the groom. Grace Peyrat, cousin of the bride, was a junior bridesmaid. Groomsmen were Corey Roach, and Ross Demasi, friends of the groom, Matt Poissant and Nick Poissant, brothers of the bride, and Shawn Parnell, brother-in-law of the groom. The Ring Bearer was Isaac Peyrat, cousin of the bride, and the Flower Girl was Quinn Parnell, niece of the groom. Following their reception, the couple spent 8 days in the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon.
Ryleigh is a 2009 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School, followed by the University of Vermont, and Johnson State College. Jon is a 2004 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School, followed by the University of Vermont. Ryleigh and Jon each hold a Bachelor’s Degree. Ryleigh is employed by Franklin Northwest Supervisory Union, working in Human Resources, and Jon is the Owner of Vermont Shred, and a Co-Owner of LaShure’s Pro Shop. The couple has made their home in Swanton.
