ST ALBANS — As the sun was setting, Pearly passed away to heaven peacefully on July 31, 2015 at St. Albans Health and Rehab. She was 94 years old.

Pearl was born to Arthur and Myrtle Hughes on July 17, 1921 in Richford.

She leaves behind her grandchildren, Cathy Thompson and husband, Brian, of Swanton, Darlene Bailey Lambert of Marana, Ariz., Suzanne Likely and husband, Kevin, of Connecticut, Karen Bailey and Mathew Austin of Sheldon and Walter ‘Butch’ Bailey of Sheldon; brother Lawrence Hughes of Swanton; sisters Phyllis Hall of Burlington, Shirley Turner of Highgate and Ruth LaBelle of Bakersfield. She also leaves many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pearl worked doing housecleaning most of her life. She had a great heart and would help anyone who needed it. She also was known for a great sense of humor.

There will be no calling hours or services as requested by Pearl. We would like to give our thanks to St. Albans Health and Rehab and Bayada Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave Pearl.
