MILTON — Paul R. Muir, 76, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Dec. 26, 2013 at his home in Milton.
Paul was born Nov. 8, 1937 in Burlington, the son of Arthur William and Bessie Amanda Picard Muir.
He graduated from Burlington High School in 1958 and was a member of the United States Marine Corp Reserve. He went on to become a Master Electrician and was employed by St. Michael’s College in the electrical department for over 38 years. He had a passion for the great outdoors especially hunting deer and turkey. His hobbies included Gunsmithing, and playing Pool with family and friends. Paul had a wonderful sense of humor, a contagious smile, and was a very happy man who loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his companion, Donna Patch, of Burlington. His children; Gina Bilodeau and her husband, Lonny, of West Chazy, N.Y.; Jamie Muir and his wife, Laura, of Georgia; Todd Muir and his companion, Wendy, of Bristol and Mandy Kneeland and her husband, Ryan, of Lowell. His grandchildren; Amanda, Joshua, Samantha, Tiah, Emily, Natalee, Elena and Megan. His great grandchildren; Kailie, Koda, Maylin and Carter. His former wife; Nancy Savoy Cota and his two brothers; Rod Muir and his wife, Charlene of Williston and Michael Muir and his wife, Carol, of Burlington. His brother in law, Robert Corrigan of Burlington and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. A Memorial Service will follow at 5 pm with Pastor Bob Magie officiating.
