ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Patricia N. Greenia, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, May 12, 2014. She was born June 10, 1925, daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Daisy (Corrigan) Denning, in St. Albans. Jan. 29, 1949, she married Mr. Merrill Greenia. Mr. Greenia died July 28, 2005. Pat will be long remembered as the smiling and cheerful receptionist at the Susslin Dental Office, where she worked for many years with her sister and brother-in-law. Pat loved going to Florida and going for lunch with friends. She enjoyed crocheting, and made many tablecloths for her children.
Pat is survived by her children, Sandra Hersey and her husband, Richard of Swanton, Dennis Greenia and his love, Becky Hofer, of San Antonio, Texas, Katherine Maxfield of St. Albans, George Greenia and his wife, Carrie, of Palm Beach, Fla., and Danielle Hyer of Fairfax, her 12 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Beverly Susslin, and her husband, Gould, of St. Albans, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Merrill, and her daughter Margaret Ann Greenia.
A Celebration Of Life will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Swanton.
