NORTH HERO — Mrs. Patricia E. Blouin, age 83, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 26, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family, after a long illness. She was born in Burlington, Jan. 8, 1931, daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Jane (Barry) Lavery. May 30, 1952, she married Ronald Blouin. Together, they owned and operated Blouin’s IGA Store here in St. Albans, retiring in 1989. Pat was a member of The Business and Professional Women of Franklin County, The Ladies of St. Anne, The Vermont Grocers Association, The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Unit #1, The Daughters of the American Revolution, The St. Albans Day Reunion and CCE Tennis and Ping Pong Group in Florida. She loved to travel to Alaska and is a member of the 251 Club and the 118 Covered Bridges of Vermont. She was a faithful communicant of Holy Angels Church.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald Blouin, their five children, Michael Blouin and his wife, Jackie, of St. Albans, Andre Blouin and his wife, Christine, of Swanton, Robin Blouin and his wife, April, of Franklin, Marie Giroux and her husband, Michael, of North Hero, and John Blouin and his wife, Lynn, of St. Albans, 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Kiley, Tyler, Christopher, Mechelle, Brent, Laurie Chantel, Jill and Josh, three great-grandchildren, Caden, Sadie, and Oliver, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Interment will follow in the Blouin family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brady and Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening.
