FAIRFIELD — On Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, Lise Ann Parent, daughter of Jacques and Mariel Parent of Swanton, married Alex Christopher Howrigan, son of Thomas and Susan Howrigan of Fairfield.

The double-ring ceremony was held at the Church of the Nativity in Swanton and officiated by Father Emmanuel Ajanma. A reception was held at the Franklin County Field Days site in Highgate.

The Matron of Honor was Chantal Persons, sister of the bride. The Maid of Honor was Alison Jette, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Rachel Gallagher, sister of the bride, Andrea Bushey, cousin of the bride, and Kerri Howrigan and Nicole Howrigan, both sister-in-laws of the groom. The Best Men were Tyler Howrigan, brother of the groom and Brendan Howrigan, cousin of the groom. The groomsmen were Matthew Howrigan and Luke Howrigan, both brothers of the groom, and Dan Gallagher and David Persons, both brother-in-laws of the bride. The ring bearers were Grady Howrigan and Cole Howrigan, the groom’s godsons.

The couple spent time in Jay Peak following their wedding, and will honeymoon in Jamaica this December.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union H.S. and a 2008 graduate of Champlain College. She is currently working for Wiemann Lamphere Architects in Colchester. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Bellows Free Academy St. Albans and a 2007 graduate of Vermont Technical College. He is currently working on the family dairy farm in East Fairfield and is part of the family maple sugaring operation. The couple will make their home in Fairfield.
