Sandra and Raymond Sweeny
ST. ALBANS BAY / ARCADIA, Fla. — Raymond and Sandra (Patno) Sweeny, residence of St. Albans Bay and Arcadia, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 4 2013. Raymond, a farmer/carpenter from St. Albans Bay, and Sandra, a hairdresser from South Hero, met in 1961. Joined by their family and friends, they were married on May 4, 1963 at the South Hero Congregational Church. Their attendants were the bride’s sister, Fay Chamberlin and the groom’s brother, William Sweeny.
The couple dedicated many years to running their family farm. After retiring from farming, they owned and operated two other businesses; Bayview B & B and R & S Woodworking. They are now able to enjoy a full retirement with family and friends.
Ray and Sandy will be guests of honor at an intimate dinner with their three daughters and their husbands: Diane and Dave Messier, Lynn and Mike O’Brien and Debbie and Matt Ladd, and their five grandchildren Katie, Kyle, Corey, Brandi and Samantha.
