RICHARD E. NOLAN
Richard E. Nolan was born Dec. 12, 1933, to the parents of Marguerite and George Nolan of St. Albans. He went to rest with his Lord on Aug. 12, 2010, at his home in Fairlee. He received an honorable discharge from the National Guard in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. When he got out of the service in 1956, he married Jill Brown of St. Albans.
Richard is survived by his four children: Cindy Nolan Ackerson and her husband, Randy, of LaBelle, Fla., Karen Nolan Boragine and her husband, Al, of Fairlee, Kelly Nolan-Cody of LaBelle, Fla., and Richard Nolan Jr. of Minneapolis, Minn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Richard was predeceased by his wife, Jill, in 1996; his parents, Marguerite and George Nolan; sisters, Charlene Nolan Brennan, Pauline Nolan Laverdure, Norma Nolan Collins; and two brothers, George Wesley Nolan and Robert Nolan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Brown family lot in Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 in the Brady and Leveque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., St. Albans.
