ENOSBURG FALLS — Nancy Jane Bowlby passed away in her home on Saturday May 10, 2014, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. She was born in Saint Albans on Dec. 31, 1940.

She was a busy stay at home mom, she enjoyed crafting, puzzles, and she played a mean game of aggravation and Chinese checkers. She was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, James Bowlby, her children, Reba and Mike Fairbanks, Vicki and her partner, Robert Burnell, Rodney and Lisa Bowlby, Bradley Bowlby, and Steven Bowlby who was her loving caregiver.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; her sisters Katherine, Joan, Beverly, and Marlene, and her brother Rodney and their spouses.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents Reba and Lawrence Berger, her sister Pauline, her brothers Harold, and Lawrence Jr., and her grandson Michael Bowlby.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.

A Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM in the Heald Chapel.
