SWANTON VILLAGE — Maurice “P2” Trahan, age 71, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 21, 2015, at his Linda Ave. residence.
Born in Quincy, Mass., on, March 10, 1944, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Yvonne (LeBlanc) Trahan. He was a 1962 graduate of the former St. Anne’s Academy. He was a well-known printer owning and operating Maurice Trahan’s Printing Service for many years.
P2 leaves his daughter Michelle Walker and her husband, Matthew, of South Burlington; brothers and their wives, Clement and Kornchanok Trahan of Thailand, Stephen and Lise Trahan of St. Albans and Gabriel and Carmen Trahan of Georgia; three sisters, Patricia Reid and friend Monique LaPerle of Burlington, Carmen and husband, John Crepeau, of St. Albans and Denise Luneau and companion, Richard Wyman, of Swanton; two grandchildren, Matthew and Lydia Charbonneau as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, P2 was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Marie Trahan and Donald and Theresa Trahan and a sister, Jaqueline.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at 1 p.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada St., Swanton. Father Luke P. Austin will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at a later date in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no public calling hours.
