ST. ALBANS – Mr. Maurice P. Rocheleau, age 89, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Franklin County Rehab Center, with his family at his bedside. He was born in St. Albans on June 5, 1924, son of the late Arthur and Harriet (Nichols) Rocheleau. He was a dairy farmer for 43 years, a self- employed carpenter and later, for 11 years, was a chemical mixer at I.B.M.

Maurice was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #1090, the St. Jean de Baptiste Societe, and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, St. Albans Lodge # 1566.

He is survived by his wife Lillian (Gratton) Rocheleau, four children, Steven and his wife Shawn LeBlanc of St. Albans, Judy and her husband Greg Nuttall of Milton, Michael and his wife Laura Rocheleau and Alma and her husband James Gallagher, all of St. Albans, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a sister, Pauline Desjardins, 2 brothers, Elphege and Cecile Rocheleau, and Robert and Virginia Rocheleau, a sister-in-law Rena Rocheleau, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, a grandson Luke Gallagher, his sister Beatrice Rocheleau, brothers Wilfred and his wife Katherine Rocheleau, Andre Rocheleau, and Phillippe Rocheleau.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Mount Calvary Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
