ST. ALBANS — Mattie A. Parrott, 76, formerly of Milton, died peacefully on Friday afternoon, Jan. 29, 2016 at the St. Albans Health and Rehab. Center.

Mattie was born in Eden on July 26, 1939, the daughter of Merritt and Elsie (Davis) Russell. She had been employed at IBM in Essex Junction for many years. She had loved gardening and her cats.

Mattie is survived by her children, Brenda Greeno and her husband, Michael, of Swanton, Charlene Sanders and her husband, James, of St. Albans, Tom Snedeker and his wife, Nancy of Minnesota; her grandchild Alex Plouffe, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her son Richard Parrott in 2013, her sisters Mary Jane Snedeker and Pauline Russell and her brothers James and William Russell.

Mattie always enjoyed reading the 23rd Psalm.

Burial will be in Waterville in the spring.
