ENFIELD, CONN. — Mary M. (Lambert) Getty, 91, of Enfield, Conn., beloved wife of the late Carlton J. Getty, died Saturday (March 28, 2015) in Enfield. Born on Nov. 29, 1923 in Highgate, Vt., the daughter of the late Benjamin and Melvina (LaFrance) Getty. She had lived in Enfield for the past 55 years. Before retiring she was employed by Stanadyne Corporation and prior to that Bigelow Corporation. Mary was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church, Enfield and had been a member of the American Legion in St. Albans, Vt. She enjoyed playing the piano, telling stories, talk and laugh. She leaves two devoted sons, Francis C. Getty and his wife, Jean T. Anderson-Getty of Windsor, Conn., and Timothy A. Getty of Enfield; a brother, Glen Lambert and his wife, Betty of East Highgate; a sister, Ruby Charbonneau of South Burlington, Vt.; adoring eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, April 6 at 9 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at. St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield. Burial will follow at St. Patrick King Street, Enfield. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, April 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
