ST. ALBANS — Marie (Trombly) Crowley, 89, passed peacefully on April 22, 2015 at The Pines of Newmarket, N.H. She was born in St. Albans on Sept. 6, 1925, the fifth of eight children born to Joseph and Victoria Trombly.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Keith A. Crowley; four brothers, Gene, Mike, Leo and Ray Trombly; and two sisters, Rita SteMarie and Mae Guilbault. She is survived by her sons, Christopher Allard of Sanford, Fla., and Craig Allard of Asheboro, N.C.; her daughter, Karen Crowley of Durham, N.H.; her grandchildren Suzanne (Allard) Cash and Derek Allard of North Carolina; Zachary and Sean Allard of Florida; Shane, Riley, Caleb and Josie Chinburg of Durham, N.H.; her only great-grandchild, David Ronald Cash III of North Carolina; her sister, Anita Murphy of St. Albans; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Marie graduated from Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, worked and travelled for the telephone company in Rochester, N.Y., and for Union Carbide. She lived up and down the East coast, raising her children, until retiring with Keith in Lee, N.H. Marie’s final years were spent with her daughter, Karen, and her four youngest grandchildren. She loved those years and being part of their daily lives. Marie will always be remembered, as her children and grandchildren will tell you, as the best mother and Mémé in the whole world – whose greatest passion was her family. Marie leaves her family rich in happy, heartfelt memories.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 6 Madbury Road, Durham N.H., presided by Father Andrew Cryans. Family will receive family and friends at the church starting at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas More Church in Durham, if desired.
