EAST BERKSHIRE — Marie Anna Delorme, age 94, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 20, 2016 at the Franklin County Rehab Facility in St. Albans.

She was born in Waterloo, Quebec Canada on Oct. 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Hector and Henriette (Labelle) Legault.

Marie was a lifelong farmer and will be remembered by many friends and family members as a consummate caregiver. She was a devoted Communicant of Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church. Marie worked at many businesses including Home Health Community Action, Fadden’s Bobbin Shop, Montgomery Toy Factory, Enosburg Falls Country Club, Union Carbide, Richford Hockey Stick Factory and Delorme’s Redemption. She enjoyed knitting, baking family outings and get-togethers with friends.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard and Sally Delorme of Orlando, Fla., Normand and Ninfa Delorme of Richford, Robert and Terry Delorme of Franklin, George Delorme, his companion, Mary Helen Hart of Enosburgh, and Rose-Marie Dubois and her husband, Michael, of Georgia; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Irene Lavigne of Knowlton, Quebec, Gertrude St.Pierre of Montreal, Quebec, Antoinette Meunier of Cowansville, Quebec, and Hector Legault of Waterloo, Quebec; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband, Gabriel Delorme on Aug. 8, 1986. Marie and Gabe were married on Nov. 23, 1946. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Ida and Rose.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church, 2902 Vermont Route 105, East Berkshire with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in All Saints Cemetery in Richford.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
