Luke Arthur Patenaude, loving son, brother, and uncle, passed away on July 5, 2016.  He was born in Littleton, N.H., on May 5, 1989. He is survived by his fiancee Ashleigh Elisabeth LeDuc of St. Albans, his parents, father Arthur C. Patenaude and partner, Debbie Lowther, of East St. Johnsbury, and mother, Karen L. Reid and stepfather, Douglas K. Reid of Wheelock, Vt.; grandfather, Clayton R. Bump of Wheelock; brothers, Hollis Dunlap of New London, Conn., and Jacob (Satoko) Dunlap of Kyoto, Japan; sisters, Sophie (Curtis Hale) Patenaude of Danville, and Mary Beth Schmidt of Napanee, Ind.; niece, Alyssa Dunlap and nephew, Euan Hale; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Luke will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his love of adventure, and his responsiveness to the needs of others.

Luke was a blood donor and an animal lover. Those who wish may donate blood in Luke’s honor to the American Red Cross, or make a monetary donation to, or volunteer at, Kingdom Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT, 05819.
