ST. ALBANS — Feb. 26, 1927— May 19, 2016 — The daughter of Emmett Roy and Versa Jessie Gelbar and widow of Robert Paquette, Leatrice Ora (Gelbar) Paquette was born in Richford.
She was preceded in death by her brother Leighton, her parents and her husband of 50-plus years. She is survived by her three sons, Arvis, Steven and David, their wives, Paige Castello, Cheryl, and extended family: Beverly Perkins, Susan Elliott and Pam Henson; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Lee grew up on the hill farm in St. Albans and lived for many years in Deland, Fla., Oceanport N.J., Powhatan and Goochland, Va.
She retired from K-Mart after 25 years as a merchandiser. She had a great love of animals, especially Lucy girl her cat, and leaves behind three dogs, two cats and a lovebird.
Some of her favorite hobbies were keeping up with her genealogy books, watching the birds come to her feeder, knitting, crocheting and many other crafts.
She was a member of the Jewett Family of America association. She loved her family immensely and all who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She will be buried at the Lakeside Cemetery in St. Albans alongside of her husband and parents at a date to be determined.
