The five kindergarten classrooms at St. Albans Town Educational Center have spent the last 100 days collecting food for the local pantry. “Our goal was 100 [items] and we got 121,” said teacher Kate Pelkey. “We exceeded our expectations.” Kate Pelkey, a SATEC teacher for the past 12 years, helps kindergartener Leianne Phillips, 5, put food items in a box to be added to the rest of the school’s collection.
