SWANTON — Lawrence ‘Larry’ Lovely, age 77 years, a lifelong area resident died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2015, in Redstone Villa with loving family at his side.

Born at home in Swanton, Larry was the son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Rosamond Favero Lovely. He attended Swanton schools including the former Swanton High School.

He has resided for the past several years with close friends and caregivers, Allen and Nancy on the Carman Brook Road in Highgate Springs.

Larry loved to play pool, horseshoes and bowling winning many trophies in all three. He loved baseball and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was also a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #1566 in St. Albans.

He leaves his sons, Robert Lovely, Lawrence C. Lovely III and Nathan Lovely; his daughters, Trudy Booker, Cindy Martin, Jackie Morgan, Ann Williams and Lynn Martell. He is also survived by a sister Shari Lovely; 21 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and six nephews.

In addition to his parents Larry was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann Reynolds on Dec. 12, 2011; grandsons, Michael Andrew Tatro and Irvin Charles Tatro; a sister, Joanne Martin; a niece, Sally Martin and nephews Marty and Allen Martin.

A celebration to honor Larry’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the Swanton Veterans of Foreign Wars, 8 Merchants Row, Swanton Village. All family and friends are invited to attend.

Interment services will be held in June at the family lot in Greenwood Cemetery, St. Albans.

Gifts in Larry’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 55 Day Lane, Williston 05495.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Kidder memorial Home, Swanton, Vermont.
