Swanton/Highgate — On September 27, 2014, Renée J. Laroche and David C. Rheaume were united in marriage under the fall foliage of historic Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont. Renée is the daughter of Richard Laroche and the late Annice Laroche of Swanton, and David is the son of Normand and Sharon Rheaume of Highgate.

The outdoor ceremony was officiated by Jason Pierson (JP) on the Circus Building Lawn on a beautiful fall day. The wedding party included Best Man Dusty Gilman, Groomsmen Shawn Rainville, Kyle Hislop, and Jon Callan; Maid of Honor Michelle Laroche, Bridesmaids Ashley Hislop, Michelle Saine, and Shelby Labarge.

The wedding incorporated lots of DIY projects including homemade coffee filter flower bouquets, burlap & lace pennant banners, skeleton key boutonnieres, and a pair of ruby slippers!

A rustic vintage carnival themed cocktail hour & reception was also held on the Shelburne Museum grounds where family and friends were invited to partake in carousel rides, dinner, and dancing. Food was provided by the Abbey Group Catering, drinks from Bevo Bar Service, cake by Hanna LaFlam, photography by A Torrey Girl Photography, and music by Made in the Shade Entertainment.

Renée and David would like extend a thank you to their parents for making their wedding day possible, to Ginette Young for greeting their loved ones with a warm smile, to Jonathan Young for his beautiful painting, and to everyone else who helped make their special day happen.

The couple Honeymooned at the Grand Bahia Principe La Romana Resort in the Dominican Republic, for sun, sand, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, and cervezas!

The newlyweds currently reside in St. Albans with their cat, Ms. Bird and are saving up to buy a house and start a home business.
