ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Juliette (Blanchette) Verret, age 86, died at her home, Tuesday, April 7, 2015.  She was born May 18, 1928 in Montreal, Quebec, daughter of the late Armand and Germaine (Page) Blanchette.  Dec. 30, 1955 Juliette married Leo Joseph Verret.  Leo predeceased her Nov. 19, 2010.  Juliette worked for Martins Laundry, and was an assistant cook at the St. Albans City School for many years.  She was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and playing cards.  She was a communicant of Holy Angels Church, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #1.

Juliette is survived by her children, Michael Boivin of New Hampshire, Lisa and Philip Graveline of Port Charlotte, Fla., Patricia and John Logan of Pittsburgh, Pa., Jeanne Mayo of St. Albans, and Charles and Theresa Verret of Morehead City, N.C., 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a brother Claude Blanchette of Montreal, Quebec, and a special friend Georgianna Demar of St. Albans.  She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Leo, a grandson Dean Prior, her brothers Marcel, Armand, and Raymond Blanchette, and her sister Giselle De Pelteau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10 a.m., in Holy Angels Church.  Interment will be later in the spring in the Verret family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.  The family will receive condolences on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, St. Albans.  Memorials may be made in her memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or St. Ann’s Shrine, 92 St Anne’s Rd.
