HIGHGATE — Mr. John S. Reynolds Jr., age 80, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Fletcher Allen Health Care, after a brief hospitalization. He was born in Sheldon on Dec. 27, 1933, son of the late John S. and Ada (Dennis) Reynolds, Sr. John served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. Upon returning, he married Rhoda Joyal, in August of 1958. John worked most of his life in the Plumbing and Heating industry, retiring in 2000, as the owner and operator of his own company. John was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 758.

John is survived by his wife, Rhoda, his daughter Patricia Reynolds of Florida, his sons, Michael Reynolds and his wife, Lenore, of Milton, Mark Reynolds and his wife, Darlene, of St. Albans, and John Reynolds, III of Enosburgh, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his brothers Kenneth, Howard and William Reynolds, and a sister Mary Martell. John was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Roland, George, Ralph, Herbert, David and his sister Genève.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 at 10 a.m., in the Reynolds family lot in Greenwood Cemetery.
