WILLISTON — Mr. Jeffrey G. Carlson, age 59, passed away March 30, 2016, in the University of Vermont Medical Center.  He was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Hartford, Conn., son of Leif and Coralee (Giles) Carlson. Jeff worked for many years in law enforcement. He was a deputy sheriff for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, and an officer with the Williston Police Department. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge #4 F&AM, the Scottish Rite of the Free and Accepted Masons, the Vermont State Guard, the Franklin County Sportsman’s Club, and the Chittenden County Fish and Game Club. Jeff also was the Williston Cemetery Commissioner, and a licensed Amateur Radio Operator under the call of W1JGC.

Jeff is survived by his father, Leif Carlson of Chatham, Mass., his brother Steven Carlson and his wife, June, of Burlington, Conn., and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Coralee, and a brother Christopher Carlson.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Fellowship Hall at Williston Federated Church, 44 North Williston Road, Williston, from 1 to 3 p.m., on Saturday, August 6, 2016.  Interment will be private in the Williston Memorial Garden.
