ST. ALBANS — James Elie ‘Jeb’ Berger, age 55, passed away unexpectedly at his home. He was born in Richford, May 31, 1960, son of the late Roger and Rhoda (Hope) Berger. Jeb graduated from Richford High School. Jeb worked for over 20 years as the manager for the Old Foundry Restaurant, and for the last six years, he was employed at the St. Albans Co-Operative Creamery in the powdered milk production. Jeb will be most remembered for his daily walks to and from work carrying his simple backpack and wearing his signature hat.
Jeb is survived by his children Courtenay Wells and her husband, Shawn, of Alburgh, Taylor Berger and his wife Sommer of Milton, his step-daughter Miranda Friz of St. Albans; his grandchildren, Rae-Ann ‘Squirt’ Wells, Shawn ‘Peanut’ Wells, Jr., Eli ‘Wiggle Worm’ Berger, and Lily Berger; his sisters, Sarah Berger of Richford, and Aimee Berger of St. Albans.
A time to share memories of Jeb will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel.
