ST. ALBANS — Ione ‘Kit’ Hoyt, age 77, passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at her home. She was born Wednesday, June 15, 1938 in Clintonville, Wis. She is the daughter of late Silas E. and Dora H. (Otto) Hoyt. She was a Machine Operator for G.W. Plastic Engineers, and a secretary for Vermont Associates for Employment and Training. She was a member of the Franklin County Senior Center. She enjoyed bowling, cross-stitching, crocheting, computer games and Facebook.
Ione is survived by her two daughters, Sue Guyette of St. Albans and Wanda Howe and her husband Ron of Post Mills, Vt; six grandchildren, Amy Davenport of Milton, Julie Davenport-Phillips of Swanton, Shannon Davenport of St. Albans, and Matt Howe, Mindy Sargent, and Mandy Wurtz all of Post Mills, Vt.; twelve great grandchildren Ashlyn Boles, Dustin Davenport, Natasha Gilchrist, Taylor Bechard, Kiersten Gilchrist, Jenna Davenport, Zackery Nowland, Logan Marra, Kolby Marra, Lauren Marshall, Jada Jones, and Kaylee Phillips.
She was predeceased by her parents Silas and Dora Hoyt and her partner Shirley Hemmings.
A celebration of Kit’s life will take place in the spring of 2016.
