January can be rather bleak and empty, but on Friday, hundreds of people filtered in and out of downtown for the second annual “In Good Taste” event. Held in a full St. Albans City Hall’s auditorium, the attendees nibbled, sipped and enjoyed what some 50 local growers and producers have to offer. The Missisquoi River Band provided the music while farmers, Northwest Technical Center students, brewers, neighbors and even former state senators handed out the main attraction: food and drink particular to Franklin and Grand Isle counties.
Sponsoring In Good Taste this year were: Peoples Trust Company, Yankee Farm Credit, Kinney insurance Agency, Nye Insurance Agency, Northwest Solid Waste Management District, Franklin/Grand Isle Workforce Investment Board, Franklin County Industrial Development Corp. Northwest Regional Planning Commission, Messenger Print & Design, Franklin county Regional Chamber of Commerce.
