    SWANTON - The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 11 a.m. from Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. The Reverend Reid D. Farrell Jr. was the celebrant and homilist. Also in attendance was The Venerable Wallace J. Sparling, retired Archdeacon of the Anglican Diocese of Montreal, Quebec Canada.  Assisting during The Communion as Chalice Bearers were Bonnie Fournier and Steve Trushaw. Music was provided by soloist, Rose Bacon accompanied on the “Great Organ” by Robert Guerrina.

    Readings from Scripture were proclaimed by granddaughter, Heather Sanders, and great-grandson, Thomas McGilvray. Oblation Bearers were grandson, Christopher Boudreau and granddaughter Angela O’Neill. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by granddaughters, Heidi Troup and Heather Sanders.

    Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the Swanton Town and Village Offices, Swanton School Senior Apartments, Wood and Kidder, Inc., Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Northwestern Medical Center, Swanton Rexall, The Total Home Center, Vermont Furniture Galleries, Swanton Historical Society, Marshall & Marshall Legal Services, PLC., local Avon Representatives, United States Marshall Service, Porter’s Bike Shop and the parish communities of Holy Trinity and Nativity / St. Louis.

    The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Boudreau family lot in Riverside Cemetery with Father Farrell reading the committal prayers. The bearers, all longtime family friends, were Charles Cline, John Edwards, John Fournier, Bruce Spaulding, Troy Spaulding and Donald Porter.

    Following The Prayers of Committal, a reception was held for family and friends at the Holy Trinity Fellowship Hall hosted by Mrs. Bonnie Fournier.
