ST. ALBANS/ SWITZERLAND — Katharine Hutchinson and Yves Sonnay were married on July 13, 2013 at the Bramble Hill Farm in Amherst, Massachusetts. Katie is the daughter of David and Katharine Hutchinson of St. Albans, and Yves is the son of Gérald and Andrée Sonnay of Yverdon, Switzerland.
A second wedding celebration was held in Montcherand, Switzerland, on August 17.

Katie is a graduate of BFA, St. Albans, Swarthmore College, and Yale University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in International Public Health at Boston University. Yves has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Haute Ecole d’Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud, as well as an International Project Management degree from Haute Ecole Arc. He works as a manager of humanitarian projects.

The couple met while both were serving with Doctors Without Borders in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. After a trip to Barcelona, Spain, the couple will live and work in Port au Prince, Haiti. Yves will be Head of Mission for Doctors Without Borders projects in Haiti.
