ST. ALBANS – More than 200 people turned out at the American Legion on Sunday afternoon to honor the veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The American Legion Riders of Green Mountain Post No. 1 organized the event and rallied local businesses to donate money to support the Franklin County veterans. The fire departments of St. Albans City and St. Albans Town sent trucks to suspend a massive American flag over the entrance to the American Legion on Parah Drive.
